Wine, music and sport – what more could you want? Hazel from Paddy’s Point shares the latest news… – Comaskey Properties

Wine lovers rejoice! We have recently invested in a beautiful new state of the art wine fridge and we are very excited to start offering a lovely wine list this week. Our staff have even had some training with a local sommelier! Its not a hugely extravagant list but offers some really great and different wines and cava and prosecco for those who enjoy a bit of bubbly!
If you fancy some live music to accompany your glass of vino or the tipple of your choice then this week’s seven day schedule is looking like this: The Cages on Tuesday and Friday night, Bella Luna on Wednesday,  Paul Cullen on Thursday, Showaddywaddy Legend on Sunday and this Saturday sees the return of The Redtops – the impressive five piece swing rock and roll band. These guys definitely know how to party! Ali and Che will be back with their acoustic set on Monday night.
As usual we will be covering all major live sporting fixtures this week – the football highlight for most being the Champion’s League semi finals on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Lots of other football on all week including St. Johnstone v Celtic on Friday at 8.45pm, Liverpool v Crystal Palace on Saturday at 6pm and Man Utd v Arsenal on Sunday at 5pm. The GAA Championship also returns this weekend and Donegal v Tyrone will be shown on many screens throughout the pub on Sunday at 5pm.

Always a great crowd and a great atmosphere for all GAA games here and nice to see so many of our customers in their county colours for the games. If you happen to see a Donegal shirt flying up and down the terrace all afternoon this Sunday it will most likely be our very own Donegal girl Karla who enjoys proudly sporting the shirt – even when working,  or especially when working!
Lastly, I would like to wish Paul Cullen, this year’s captain of Paddy’s Point golf society all the very best in his drive in this Wednesday. Our golf events are becoming very popular and this month’s event has been booked up for the last couple of weeks. Our society is open to everyone, for details on any upcoming events pop in to Paddy’s where bar staff will be happy to provide you with all the info you need.
See you soon!

Hazel
