Kids and Adults sailing on the Costa Blanca.
We have often spoken about the wonderful Cabo Roig marina, the views, the beach, the bars, the atmosphere, and now the sailing classes at the marina are worth a mention.
During this summer just gone, the Stella Maris club in Cabo Roig offered exceptionally good value sailing courses for children where they would and did learn all the basics of sailing.
· rigging the sales.
· basic navigation,
· the parts of the boat and how they work together
· caring for the boat, etc.
At the end of the kids classes they get a chance to experience the banana boats, try a bit of kayaking, snorkeling and generally become comfortable with the Mediterranean sea.
The classes run for the summer at Cabo Roig and will return in Easter 2016. What a great experience for kids, especially holiday makers coming to Spain!
For us adults, the Stella Maris runs a one day course where you can get a licence for a motor boat of up to 6 meters and it’s only 150 euro for the whole thing!
They also have boat storage, boat rental and those annoying but super fun Jet skis.
The rumours amongst Spanish marine folk is that from next summer in Spain you’ll be allowed by law to hire jet skis and take them as far out to sea as you like. Two benefits; it’ll mean there will be more peace and quiet for the land lubbers lying on Cabo roig beach and the more adventurous ones will be able to spend the whole day at sea on their jet skis.
Stella Maris club is found on the Cabo Roig marina on Spain’s beautiful Costa Blanca.
