The Irish Travel Agents’ Association has released new figures today which is very good news for people looking to invest in Spain. The Country is now by far the most popular destination for Irish people, with figures of those travelling to Spain from January to May 2015 up 12.7 pc- that’s 500,000 more than last year.
It appears that Irish travellers are happy to travel to Spain literally by the plane load, but they want value for money and they are getting it both with flights and the costs of living when they land in Spain. With Ryanair flying direct to Alicante and Murcia from Dublin, Knock, Cork, Kerry, City of Derry and Shannon, there is a lot of choice for Irish tourists. Other reasons why Irish people prefer Spain are the short flight, guaranteed sunshine and safety.
The ITAA quarterly figures also found that people have more money to spend in 2015 once they actually land in Spain. A total of just under 1,500,000 trips were made by Irish people to Spain last year. That is a lot of travel and incredibly it accounts for 20% of all travel out of Ireland. The CSO says this figure will be surpasses in 2015.
Spain- Its one popular place!
