White Water Rafting in Murcia, with Rafting Murcia!!

Rafting in Murcia, with Rafting Murcia!!
A must-do activity for the whole Family while visiting Spain.

Peter, a salesman in our La Zenia office, celebrated yet another birthday this year. Rather than take to the air over the Costa Blanca like he did last year via hot air balloon, Peter hit the white waters of the River Segura instead.
The company called, (as you’d expect) “Rafting Murcia” have been rafting along the river Segura for over 24 years and genuinely have a love of and respect for the nature all along the route.
The adventure starts in Cieza, just the western side of Murcia. That’s about an hour from Cabo Roig. The route travels along the valley of Ricote Abarán and has a length of 13 km. Trips take place in about 3 hours.
During the journey rafters enjoy a pretty unique Spanish environment and animal species we don’t meet every day in La Zenia, like the turtle, catfish, heron and the otter.

The crews stop halfway for lunch, toilet break or a snack depending on the time of the trip and finish. Here participants enjoy the brand new facilities and changing rooms with showers.

In addition, the nice people at Rafting Murcia offer free photographic memories of the day as you can see by the pictures of Peter here.

Rafting Murcia took almost 25 years to perfect the descents on the River Segura and they have a lovely family run business in place these days- well worth the drive off the Costa Blanca.
Since 1992 they have been taking young, old, groups (schools for example) and the most adventurous down the river on four types of boats… Banana Boat, Raft, Kayak and KayBoat (we call it a donut).
They have qualified instructors, they are members of the National Federation of Canoeing and they really take good care of their customers.
You can check out their website here.
If you are looking for things to occupy your visitors to the Costa Blanca, you’ll be pleasantly surprised how much they’ll enjoy this trip.
