Valencia Region is the most sought after area in Spain.
According to the 2015 data from the Spanish Ministry of Public Works, ex-pats acquired a total of 69,000 properties in Spain last year. This figure is positive news for the industry representing an increase of 13% over 2014. One in five of every property in Spain is sold to a foreigner – Quite the statistic for the Spanish economy. We often say that ironically sales of Spanish property are more dependent on the European economic situation than on the Spanish economy itself.
20,000 properties were sold in the Valencia region alone to foreign buyers, both non-resident and residents. Amongst the most popular towns or areas in Valencia are the city of the same name, Denia, Torrevieja, Castellon and our own La Zenia.
The Spanish property market saw an overall increase of 10% year on year, but the investment by non-Spanish people was well ahead of this mark. Only Ireland has a more booming property market anywhere in Europe. Positive times for the Spanish property market!
