Las Colinas Golf Resort and Country Club opened for business in 2010 on the Costa Blanca and is an exclusive residential community located in the heart of Spanish Golf country. It is the perfect place to escape to on holiday, a weekend break or to live all year round as many of our clients already do. The resort is set in an area of genuine natural beauty, hills, forests, lavender plants and is mostly protected land, surrounded by orange, lemon and olive groves.
It is a valley, a Ramblas, nestling between the hills of Costa Blanca yet still with views of the sea all the way to La Manga, where the low density houses, apartments and villas and the Colinas golf course blend harmoniously into the natural Spanish landscape.
The country club has real quality properties built around an 18-hole championship golf course. The course was the host of the PGA 2nd qualifying tournament in November 2015. The club house is sheer quality, with a view over the 18th, and the water hazard which protects the green it all too well. The restaurant is not cheap but again the price reflects the quality. If there was a criticism, it’s the service. When there is a group of golf society members for example finishing a hot 4.5 hours, the bar staff need to understand that we need our beers served cold and quick! The staff are lovely, just not trained to dealing with groups of thirsty golfers.
The resort covers an area of over 300 acres acres- it’s very large. The nature reserve is almost 200,000 m2, and it includes scenic trails for trekking and horse riding and lots of green zones with indigenous vegetation. Las Colinas golf and country resort is totally private and has only one spectacular canyon-style entrance, a feature which preserves its privacy, tranquillity and feeling of luxury when driving to the club house.
The resort is set in a natural valley with excellent sea and mountain views. Its a few Km back from the sea (I guess La Zenia being the nearest beach) so as you´d expect from a resort of this quality, it also has its very own private beach club. Why not? It´s located at the stunning La Glea Beach in Campoamor complete with bar, restaurant and infinity pool. The “Colinas” Beach Club has a private area with swim up pool bar and terrace overlooking the white sandy bay at Campoamor beach, a place popular with Spanish and ex pats alike.
The transport connections to Las Colinas are excellent, whether by air (Alicante 74km, Murcia 63km, train (stations 20 and 30km away) or road (from Madrid 400km taking motorway all the way or easy south and north connections by motorway).
The resort and country club is in a valley between hills high enough to give you privacy and isolation from its surrounding area. Awards recently won by La Colinas include Spain’s best golf course at the 2015 World Golf awards! Also decorating the mantle piece is the Leading Villa in Spain award from the recent World Travel awards.
