Marquesa Golf Club Ciudad Quesada Rojales
La Marquesa Golf Club was built in 1989 by the designer, Justo Quesada Samper, and was originally known as “Club de Golf Quesada”. In 1994 it changed its name to La Marquesa Golf and Country Club and became very well known throughout Europe.
It was the flagship of a major residential property called Ciudad Quesada; 15,000 homes built around a lovely golf course. The area has an international flavour, which lends a cosmopolitan air to the golf course and club house. The Club House Bar and Restaurant are well known in the area for providing wonderful food and wine at reasonable prices, with stunning views across the fairways. The decor and atmosphere is very good, with a lovely Chill Out lounge by the swimming pool where you can get snacks, meals, and drinks and the views from the restaurant over the golf course as we said are picture perfect
The 18 hole golf course itself is excellent; it is a fairly easy walk, even in the summer heat, although the option of a buggy is available. The staff is very good including the ground staff with ready smiles. The cost of playing the course is not unreasonable and is not daunting for high handicappers but a test in parts for lower handicap golfers as well. A tee booking system is in place that works well. The pro shop is small but well stocked. They provide club hire at a reasonable price. It is very enjoyable and well worth a day out in a lovely climate with the pleasant club house at the end.
This has to be recommended even for non golfers, just for a day out and lunch.
