If you are feeling the heat, just imagine those poor lumbering dinosaurs near the Algar Waterfalls… Just joking, but did you know that you can visit a park full of dinosaurs near Altea?
The park is in a very beautiful setting with amazing views. You are greeted by an apparently living, giant, breathing, moving and roaring T Rex as you enter the park, which is built into the hillside with paths around amazing cactus plants. The dinosaurs are hidden and many have movement and sound. Just great for the children.
There is also information about each dinosaur in English and Spanish so you can make it a learning experience, not only about the dinosaurs, but also about fossils, history and evolution. There is a 3D film and some fun areas for children like a water splash area and a sand pit.
Do take a picnic as there are lots of tables and shade but if you forget or would rather not, there is a small food kiosk and a restaurant with hot dogs, chips, chicken nuggets -that type of thing. There is also a very reasonably priced gift stop.
Ticket prices are adults 15€, children 4 -15 years old 10€, children under 4 are free and they do a 10% discount if there are four of you ore more. In Summer the park is open 10 am to 8.00pm.
