(Happy Comaskey Properties buyer in 2014 and full time resident in Spain).
For residents and holiday makers to the Cabo Roig area on Spain’s Costa Blanca there is an abundance of activities available for the very young and the young at heart. Purchasing or renting your Spanish Villa from Comaskey Properties situated in the very picturesque La Zenia is the first step to a very enjoyable and rewarding life choice. (I told her she had to say that BTW- Ian!!)
But besides the beautiful Costa Blanca sunshine what is there to do? Cabo Roig Strip has many activities and entertainment for everyone. There is the Poco Loco, a Mexican themed restaurant which focuses on families. With a menu that caters to all tastes and desires, their entertainment programme is second to none, Disney themed nights, fun activities for the children, face painting, dance-offs and great music. A Mecca for parents who can enjoy a cool cocktail on the terrace whilst their off-spring are happily spinning to songs from Frozen and The Lion King. For more family fun there are two fun fairs with plenty of amusements including Bumper cars.
From the roundabout at the start of Cabo Roig, facing southward there are bars and restaurants as far as the eye can see. All along the strip there are street traders:- Buskers, hair braiding, portrait artists, jugglers and an abundance of home crafted jewellery, soap and oils and wall paintings.
A plethora of marketers selling all the club and national football gear stand side by side with the guys selling the ‘genuine’ fake Michael Kors Bags and Rolex’s, all promising the best bargains. This colourful scene in Cabo Roig is enhanced by the beautiful aroma coming from the various eating houses in the area and the sounds of the different music styles coming from the lively bars. For those looking for a slower tempo, a step back from the strip, past the many beautiful sea-view apartments, towards the sea brings you to a tranquil paved walkway which winds its way along the coast all the way to La Zenia and Playa Flamenca offering the walker unspoilt views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Cabo Roig on Spain’s Costa Blanca is an area of great contrasts and offers the discerning tourist all that one could want as either a holiday destination or as a place to permanently hang your hat!
I am glad I made the move from Co. Cork to La Zenia in Spain and have zero regrets!!
More to follow from Mairead over the next few months.
