Hello Everyone,
Welcome to March’s newsletter. Winter is over and summer is well on the way with temperatures already getting up into the 20s on some days! As usual we bring you a smattering of news, interesting local information, and this month we are also reaching out to you to invite you to blog on our website. Check out the articles below.
I want to give a mention to our recent expedition to Moscow to the Overseas Property and Investment Show in the Tishinka Centre from the 15th to the 17th of March to meet and hopefully bring over investors and buyers to Spain.
The best way I can describe this exhibition is like the shows we used to do in Earls Court in London just at the time of the boom in Spanish Property. The level of interest was outstanding, and our Russian colleague Natalia was equally outstanding. We had constant attention on our stand as Spain does appear to be very popular with the Russian buyers. True, the US, Turkey, Bulgaria and Hungary were also very popular, but Spain stands out as being the preferred destination for financially independent Russians.
Benneke, Absolut, Vym, Talmar and many others were over there selling Spain, and all the exhibitors I spoke to were equally impressed with the standard of enquiries we got.
We did have the advantage of having the talented Ivan Tirado with us playing beautiful Flamenco music to delight the crowds. This master stroke meant that we were known as the “Spanish stand with the music” and resulted in lots of attention coming our way, so we were able to talk to hundreds of potential buyers in those two days.
The show’s organization was excellent, and the locals were extremely friendly and helpful, without whom it would have been impossible to attend the thousands and thousands of buyers coming to see the 160 exhibitors from 27 different countries.
We will also be attending the St. Petersburg International Property Show on April 4th-5th next week, so good luck to Ellena and Natalia who will be over there manning (or womanning) the stand!
Until next month, best wishes, Ian, Amanda, Ellena and everyone from the Comaskey and Spanish Solutions teams |
